Motion Graphic Designer
Full-Time • Hybrid
(3 Days/Week in Fuquay-Varina, NC Studio)
Salary Range: $65,000-75,000
Piedmont Brand Co. is a small-but-mighty creative studio specializing in brand identity, storytelling, motion, and design for ambitious brands. We partner with national and global clients in retail, industrial, healthcare, and lifestyle categories—and we’re growing our in-house team.
We’re looking for a Motion Designer with a strong graphic design foundation to help elevate our motion capabilities and expand what we can create for our clients. If you can concept, animate, design, and polish—this is your role.
What You’ll Do
Motion + Animation
Lead motion design projects from concept to final output.
Create clean, compelling animations, explainer videos, brand stories, and social content.
Build out motion systems for brand identities and campaigns.
Animate logos, typography, illustrations, and UI elements.
Handle editing, timing, pacing, camera moves, basic compositing, and color.
Graphic Design & Visual Development
Translate static design into motion with intention, hierarchy, and clarity.
Develop storyboards, style frames, and visual concepts.
Collaborate with our senior designer and creative director on brand systems, campaigns, and content.
Create static and animated assets for print, digital, web, and social channels.
Production & Deliverables
Prep files for motion using Illustrator and Photoshop.
Build templates and reusable systems for project efficiency.
Deliver final assets in all required formats and versions.
Support occasional client meetings and internal reviews.
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills & Experience
3-5+ years of professional motion design experience
OR a portfolio that clearly demonstrates senior-level skill.Mastery of Adobe After Effects (animation, rigging, compositing, expression-level thinking a plus).
Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (clean vector workflow required).
Strong understanding of typography, layout, and graphic design principles.
Ability to develop concepts, storyboards, moodboards, and style frames.
Experience working within brand guidelines and expanding motion systems.
Ability to manage projects, communicate clearly, and take feedback well.
Bonus Skills
(Not Required, But Very Nice to Have)
Experience in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
Light 3D experience (C4D, Blender, Spline, or similar)
Audio editing basics (sound design, music cutting)
Experience building social-first content
Illustration or character animation experience

Hybrid model: 3 in-studio days per week (Tue/Wed/Thu preferred).
